The owner will gladly point you toward the little-known and hard to find treasures on this coast. Take a short walk to the bluff overlooking the ocean. The route to the blow-hole in neighboring Russian Gulch State Park is less than a mile round trip. The hearty visitor will enjoy a seven-mile hike to the water fall in Russian Gulch State Park. There are two beaches within a mile in either direction. You can visit the lovely village of Mendocino just 1.5 miles to the south or Fort Bragg six miles north. The area offers a full array of visitor pleasures from rides on the historic Skunk Train to a delightful afternoon swimming, splashing and tubing through the ‘running-river’ at the brand new 40,000 square foot indoor water park in Fort Bragg. Ride the water slide at this unbelievable facility--the C.V. Starr Community Center. There are nearby rivers for swimming, kayak and canoe tours and rentals on the Big and Navarro Rivers and in the Pacific.
